WHO WE ARE

t a p e s t r y is a non-denominational, independent Christian community trying to follow in the way of Jesus in our day... trying to love as He loved, bless as He blessed, serve as He served, and trying to connect people with God as He did.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

What if church really was a place where you could come as you are... baggage and all? We're trying to shape that kind of culture and environment in our gatherings... where all people can come and explore the claims of faith without pressure or guilt and at a pace that is comfortable for them.

However, we're not just about our gatherings. We're not only trying "to get people into the church", we're trying to get the church into the world, trying to bring heaven's solutions to the real challenges that people are facing in our community and across the planet.

OUR TEAM

Pastor Ed Runkle
Ed was born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He was introduced to cross country and track in high school and went on to run for Millersville University where he earned a degree in Political Science. After a several-year and one-sided argument with God, Ed also obtained a degree from Yale University Divinity School. That's the short story. Ed has 20 years experience serving congregations in New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Again, that's the short story! Often spotted running the streets and roadways of greater Lancaster, Ed is married to the multi-talented, teacher by profession, Bridget Runkle. They are the proud parents of daughter, Julia.
